A Vidiian woman, suffering from the effects of the Phage is transported directly to sickbay. The Doctor uses a revolutionary technique to revive the woman and discovers that she is in fact Doctor Danara Pel. The Doctor and Danara begin working on a treatment for the Phage and the he begins to fall in love with her. The Doctor confides with Kes his feelings for Danara and she offers the Doctor some dating advice.
